EIPCa's Candidate Packet

EIPCa Candidates Packet Protect Your Right to a Fair and Honest Electoral Process

Note: The EIPCa is a nonpartisan organization that can neither support nor oppose candidate or a political party. EIPCa educates and trains all citizens, regardless of party affiliation, who reach out to EIPCa and ask for it. EIPCa will not/cannot provide specific information to a candidate in order to assist in a candidate's campaign. All training is standardized so that all volunteers are trained to observe, lawfully engage officials, document and report.

How can campaigns benefit from Election Integrity Project California training?
    • Election Integrity Project California (EIPCa) has proven that:
      • chaos and corruption in California's electoral process opens the door to fraud
      • every vote in California is vulnerable if candidates, campaigns and individual citizens do not know how and why to be vigilant
      • systemic corruption filters down to the processing and counting of ballots and to the operation of the polling places
    • Time, money and energy expended on campaigns can be WASTED if the election can be manipulated at the ROV, at the polls or during the vote-by-mail process
    • Election Integrity Project California can educate candidates, their staff and their volunteers regarding the necessity to:
      • comply with federal law to maintain voter rolls by removing ineligible registrants
      • explain the risks of various voting methods and how to recognize potential manipulation of the risky method
      • filter information gathered through phone banking and precinct walking to the Election Integrity Project California so that action can be taken to correct voter rolls and alert County Registrars
      • deploy trained volunteers to observe the ballot processing procedures at the ROV office before and after Election Day to ensure integrity in the process
      • go beyond the traditional Election Day "get out the vote" activities and deploy your EIPCa trained volunteers to observe polling places that your campaign identifies as "of concern" (the purpose is to use Election Integrity Project California's relationship with the ROV to stop problems as they occur)
    How to get involved:
      1. Contact the Election Integrity Project California County or Community Coordinator in your area.
      2. Contact Bonnie Lanyon at bonnielanyon@eip-ca.com for a referral to the EIPCa Coordinator in your county and/or community.
        • It is vital that the candidate and staff participate.
          • If the people "at the top" do not understand the why and the how of this training, it is likely to be ineffective.
      3. Maintain contact with Coordinator to be sure that:
        • your volunteers are able to get the EIPCa Observer Training
        • your volunteers have the EIPCa hotlines in order to contact EIPCa if an issue cannot be resolved according to the EIPCa training
        • your volunteers are able to submit their reports in order to have them included in reports going to the Registrars and Attorneys (if needed)
