Let the Counties Decide!

Legislative Action Alert

Immediate Action is needed!!

AB 969 will soon face its final legislative hurdle before reaching the governor’s desk. We have ONE MORE chance to stop it in its tracks.

AB 969 will ban hand counting in California for any contest with more than 1,000 voters. If passed,

  • ALL counties in California will be legally required to use electronic voting systems.

  • Growing evidence suggests electronic voting systems are very vulnerable to outside interference without the knowledge of the county officials.

  • See below for simple instructions on how to write your State Senator ASAP to demand a NO VOTE on AB 969.

AB 969 was drafted in reaction to Shasta County’s decision to terminate their contract with Dominion and then switch to paper ballots and hand counting.

It will stop Shasta and any other counties from performing a full hand count of votes. Read the current text of AB 969.

AB 969 will have its final hearing on the Senate floor as early as this week.

The most effective way you can fight this now

is to send an email to your state senator and

respectfully demand a NO VOTE on AB 969.

  3. Insert a comment similar to:

    • VOTE NO on AB 969.

    • Let the counties decide based on the voices of their constituents which method of counting votes is best.

    • The Legislature should not mandate that counties purchase and use electronic voting systems.

    • Or you can write your own message.

  4. You may also call your Senator’s Sacramento office and leave a message.

Above all, represent yourself with civilized language and maturity.

Please be respectful and professional!
