Do You Know What You Don’t Know?

Each election, ballots are now mailed to the last known address of every name on the “active” voter rolls. (To find out why “active” does not mean what it appears to mean, please read EIPCa’s article on voter roll maintenance, linked HERE.)

Each election, the majority of those ballots are marked and then sent in using U.S. mail, drop boxes or harvesters.

Problem:

All of those ballots are now completely

outside the chain of custody.

Because those ballots are marked outside the supervision of elections officials, there is no way to determine if the legitimate voter is the one who marked the ballot, or if the voter was bullied, rewarded or threatened into marking it a certain way.

Due to California law and regulations, the only tool that can be used to make sure each ballot came from a legitimate voter is signature comparison. (Calif. Election Code Regulation #3019. Scroll down)

These signature verification laws and regulationsare so loose that it is almost impossible to follow them and still question or reject even the most obvious of non-comparable signatures.

As long as ballots are mailed to all voters and voters are allowed to return their marked ballots by mail, drop box or harvester, it is possible to manipulate the outcome of an election anywhere along the way. For example:

  • Divert blank ballots to manipulators before they reach the intended voter; the manipulators then cast them. Because of the loose signature verification regulations, most if not all will be accepted and counted.

  • Divert ballots that cannot be delivered as addressed so they are not returned to the elections office but instead wind up in the hands of manipulators.

  • Dump marked ballots from certain populations on the way to the elections office into dumpsters, ditches, landfills, bushes, etc. so they never arrive and get counted.

    • Every election season there are news headlines with stories, pictures and videos of large numbers of ballots found in dumpsters, in ditches, in the bushes, etc., put there by handlers for various reasons, none of them acceptable.

  • Pay or coerce postal workers to “bend the rules”.

    • Reported in the news many times: whistle-blowing U.S. Postal Service employees admitting they were ordered to backdate postmarks to so that ballots that entered the system too late to be legally counted could still be accepted.

  • Bully, threaten or pay voters to mark their ballot in a certain way.

  • Harvest ballots from naïve and trusting voters, and alter or “lose” those that will not advance the cause of the harvesting persons or organizations.

  • Vandalize selected drop boxes so the ballots within are destroyed.

  • Accept or reject signatures selectively.

The list of manipulation possibilities is, of course, much longer, but those above refer directly to what can happen when blank ballots are universally mailed out and allowed to be returned in the ways listed above.

Mailing a ballot to any individual without a recent verification of eligibility, correct residence or even existence is a reckless threat to election integrity and to the health of the Republic.

Hundreds of thousands of ballots are returned undeliverable each election because of the permanent vote by mail program and now the universal mailing statute.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Hundreds of thousands more go “unaccounted for”. Where are those ballots?

  • Some may have been thrown away by the owner, who chose not to vote.

  • Some may never have reached the owner, having been destroyed or waylaid.

  • Worst of all, some may account for the “phantom ballots”—the ballots cast and counted even though they cannot be connected to any voters.

In 2020, EIPCa’s data team reported 124,000 more votes were cast and counted than the number of voters who voted.

How much money is spent on paper, printing and two-way mailing of this volume of misdirected, unused, and misused ballots?

  • There is no way to determine how many more ballots were “lost” and used fraudulently because of the broken chain of custody.

The vote by mail system is a destroyer
of election integrity. It is the enemy of a
fair, honest and transparent election process.

A return to mandatory in-person voting (with the tightly controlled absentee ballot alternative for qualifying individuals) would

  1. eliminate millions of dollars of mandatory ballot printing and mailing costs,

  2. return chain of custody,

  3. allow CA to produce timely election results and

  4. restore not only CA’s reputation in the nation but also popular faith in the election process, which is currently at an all-time low.

Let us speak the capital “T” Truth. As long as there is any voting by mail outside of the 1 to 3% of individuals who have no other choice, there will be no election integrity.

Enough of the early voting, vote by mail, ballot harvesting nightmare. We the People can restore election integrity if we come together and demand it.

We need to stop shrugging our shoulders and saying,

“What can we do?”

We need to stop saying, “It is what it is.”

NO! - “It is what we allow it to be.”

What will you allow?
